1.      The speaker is Abraham Lincoln.
2.     He is speaking because he is honoring those who died in the Civil War and about the outcome of the war in general.
3.     Lincoln is talking about the Civil War and how people will always remember the intense battles that were fought and the people who were involved in them.  He wants respect and agreement from the audience.
4.     The audience is the American people who are alive during the time period of the Civil War.  They have pride for America and those who fought in these battles.  The outcome of the Civil War has made a lasting impression on the history of America as a whole.
5.     The Gettysburg Address was given on November 19, 1863 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  The time and place of the speech affects the expectations of the audience because they would be expected to be serious and respectful to the speaker.  Some of them might also have been sad if they lost a loved one in the war that this speech is about.  We reflect on this speech because it is great occasion in history.
